I liked the story but holy low budget the werewolf looked so bad There was a whole full frontal naked birth scene After the werewolf gave birth to a werewolf pup kid thing it went into her like kangaroo pouch? The werewolf baby was lowkey so adorable tho and the love story of the she wolf was awesome

the werewolf designs went incredibly hard ngl
wasn't enough going on in the later half of the movie for my taste but there's a lot to like in this film, and it's miles better than the previous addition to the series. werewolves are sooo super awesome i freaking love them yayyy

1987 | The Howling | Werewolves
"Howling III" aka "The Marsupials: The Howling III" is completely unrelated to the first two films and is set in Australia and is so incredibly bizarre that I kinda lack the words to describe it.
I don't even know where to start. This film has a bit of everything. There are so many storylines and themes that the film deals with and none of that is particularly good, but so charming that you can only like it. First of all, the poster looks fantastic and I’m madly in love with it.
Acting and line delivery are mostly not good in the conventional sense, the dialogues and the ideas in general are crazy, the effects are also rather weak and the film feels much longer than it is, but that's not because it's boring or something, but because it's crammed with stuff.
The werewolves and effects are not too good, but the soundtrack is very nice. I have to say that the werewolf baby is kinda cute, but at the same time the ugliest abomination that has ever seen the light of day, in all its stages. In the film the characters watch a werewolf film and it has the most hilarious looking werewolf of all time. I mean look at that thing, it’s perfect!
As I said, the film is packed full of storylines and ideas which becomes a bit of a problem in the middle because the whole science/medical plot is a good idea, but in its execution it is the most uninteresting part of the film. Furthermore, the film turns into a never-ending family drama in its last 15 minutes, which is absolutely ridiculous but still kinda neat.
That's all not that good, but the film has a low budget charm and is so different and kinda strange that I just had a fun time. This film is ludicrous, strange, funny, bizarre, absurd, crazy and has an indescribable charm to it. I can understand why you love the film and why you hate the film, but myself I tend to lowkey love it.
I definitely have to watch the film again to fully process what I saw. Qualitatively certainly not as good as the first part, but better for me in terms of the fun factor and the entertainment value. It’s actually possible that after a rewatch this could become one of my lowkey favorites as it kinda is a trashy and weird gem, but right now I lack the mental capabilities to fully comprehend this beautiful film that is a train wreck in the best possible way.
