Though I find it a bit strange and at times tricky to follow compared to Plan 9, I can confidently say that I would want to live in the world of Ed Wood’s mind during the time he was making Hollywood pictures. Yeah, it’s full of wooden chairs in airplane cockpits and floating trumpets lifted by strings, but Wood makes for a world where the strange and silly could and would happen, and there is heart in that and I can’t find myself hating it. In a just world Wood would have had a long career making stuff like this and being admired for it, perhaps in the same way a director like Roger Corman was. Watched via the great blu ray release from Gold Ninja Video.
