Takeshi Kitano is becoming one of my favorite directors of all time 2 movies in.

Takeshi depicts alienation in modern society like no other, with a mesmerizing score by Joe Hisaishi. Being in a country that you don’t understand the culture of, trying to recreate what resembles of your homeland. Also insane insanely gorgeous cinematography.

Takeshi comes into the city and just gives belt to everyone who fucks with his youngers. Nothing but belt. And a lot of gambling.

Also, I need to reevaluate my desire for a Yakuza tattoo because I don’t think I could be ready to fight off the dirty looks that come with such an art piece on my person.

Pretty good pretty good. Probably my least favorite Kitano movie but that doesn’t mean it’s bad at all. 

The cast here is really good. Takeshi Kitano, Ryo Ishibashi, Ren Osugi, Masaya Kato I love seeing them all here again it’s been ages since I’ve seen Ryo and Kato. Omar Epps also acted his ass off in this movie major credit to him the final scene was fantastic. I like a lot about this movie but I feel like it’s a little too long and just missing some of the things that make Kitanos other movies so special. Again not a bad movie at all just wanted a bit more but I’m still pretty happy with how it turned out.
