The residents of London Road had struggled for years with frequent soliciting and kerb-crawling on their street. When a local resident was charged and then convicted of the murders, the community grappled with what it meant to be at the epicentre of this tragedy.

Sorry, but I started laughing when Tom Hardy sang. What was the need to make this a musical? I love musicals, but really? I decided to watch this because of Tom Hardy, and seeing the poster, I thought there might even be some romance. Famous actors should post a list of films in their filmography that fans are better off skipping. Alas, Paul Newman when he said not to watch The Silver Chalice.

Based on the National Theatre’s hit musical, this film really draws you in from the beginning and keeps you enthralled throughout. The use of music and verbatim dialogue is so brilliant and all the performances are very natural. There is nothing negative to so and it is such a multi layered great film.
