Mulan: Rise of a Warrior
While I enjoy Vicki Zhao Wien’s performance as the title character and how war can affect one’s pysche as well as some of the action set pieces, I have to admit that Mulan: Rise Of A Warrior left me quite bored throughout most of the runtime due to a underbaked script with flat characters as well some of the oddest editing choices ive seen in an action film.

I think it’s telling that most of the reviews are using Rise Of A Warrior to shit talk the 2020 Disney remake than reviewing it on its own merits.

Cool seeing the big scale battles but honestly was pretty boring 💀 I love the animated Disney Mulan because it has a mix of seriousness and campiness but the 2 live action Mulan films Ive seen now take themselves very seriously which I feel is to their detriment.
