A relatively different take on a western which I think did it quite well. You got an old gunslinger with a pretty bad case of PTSD come back to do one last job to get some money for his kids after his wife died but he has changed a lot since he last did any killing. I loved the ending, brotherman went full on demon mode after he drank just a swig of whiskey, hell yeah. The only real weird part of this movie is the writer and the English guy, I’m a little unsure why so much time was spent of them, they were integral to the story itself but they were turned into relatively big side characters that didn’t need to be. It does drag a little bit in the middle. I also wished they spent some more time with the main character dealing with the reality of him going to die soon, I thought they were going to do more with it. That for me was one of the weird transfers in the movie, it went from him almost dying then immediately into them killing the first cowboy, it alsmot felt a little random to go from so somber to a rooten shooten time. The ending is fire though, I’m a little torn on how they never show him go back to his kids, it just kind of ends after he went ape shit, I don’t know if it would be if they showed it or not so I’ll just ride with the ending we got. Yeah I’ll watch it again probably in a couple years.
