Dude, this movie tickles me pink every time. It really is the perfect Star Wars story that’s not part of the first 6. It checks all the boxes, great characters, great set pieces, great choreography, huge explosions, such beautiful shots and a phenomenal emotional payout especially at the end. I adore this movie and I’m so sad we haven’t gotten anything else like this from Star Wars since this came out. Darth Vader at the end, ohh, straight aura farming. The battle of Scarif, so good and so awesome, both in space and on land. The director being an evil little shit, love the fact we got a straight up evil dude, not some charismatic almost evil dude. Nah, we just got a straight up villain. Saw gerrera from the clone wars mentioned, still straight G. The side characters were definitely influential and different as well. They worked so well as a team, complementing each other so well. Dude this movie slaps, Gosh, I love Star Wars.

This is a really good film, it brings a level of realism to the star wars universe that I think it benefited from. It gives a level of grit and darkness to the struggle that the rebel alliance deals with on a day to day basis.

It’s not a perfect movie and I can’t exactly put my finger on why but I still highly recommend it to any star wars fan. It’s a single story based on the events leading up to A New Hope and because of this it doesn’t matter if you even seen a single star wars films before (but quite frankly don’t let this be the first one you ever watch!).
