It grew on me but man I was really hating this in the beginning. Only good things were Gabriel Bryne’s performance and the one girl who looks like modern Jamie Hayter. I guess the horse was cool too

Caught a bit of this on TV years ago but hadn't watched it properly, Traveller Pride Week this week so thought there was no better time. What a charming movie! Really refreshing to see the positive side of traditional Traveller lifestyles depicted with a real sense of magic around the stories and the relationships with animals. I appreciated how the Gardai were depicted largely as prejudiced bastards and Brendan Gleeson did a great job with that role. David Kelly the GOAT. Lovely score. Tidy running time.
