Ready Player One is a fun, creative movie that keeps you locked in with its crazy visuals and nonstop action. But it also makes you sit back and wonder how close we actually are to living in a world like the OASIS. With tech moving this fast, it doesn’t even feel far-fetched. It hits you with that question of, “If this was real, would I be a deep, dedicated player or just hop in to have fun and escape for a little bit?”

Overall, it’s entertaining from start to finish and definitely one of those movies that makes you wanna game and think about the future at the same time.

This film gives me hope that even if the world goes to absolute shit, the world can still be awesome. I wish The Oasis was real.

The whole concept is so surreal and dystopian, yet it doesn't feel too far from our own reality.

Now I decided to watch Ready Player One again primarily because I watched The Shining for the first time ever (which I loved and has become one of my favourites), and I realised I would finally understand a big part of the film which had previously been quite confusing to me, as it is set in the world of The Shining. That whole section, I have now realised, is awesome.

Now, there are some definite flaws with this movie. The main one for me, is how they perform movements and interactions that are just straight-up impossible for people in virtual reality rigs.

But, even flawed, this movie is still great.
