The next beetle I see will unfortunately be subject to an ass kicking. Y'all can't be sneaking hidden cameras around you snitches.
I really enjoyed this film. Eye in the Sky offers a unique POV on war that rarely gets shown, yet it’s arguably the most important aspect of it--that being final decision making. At no point are you told how to feel about the situation - it’s entirely up to you to decipher this moral dilemma yourself. I love that creative choice. I will literally never write about politics in my reviews for a thousand reasons, so when a filmmaker also avoids pushing a perspective, I can appreciate that. That is what true art should be (that being said, I’m not calling this film true art lol, this is more of a general statement). The tension in this film is visceral, and the performances from the entire cast only raise the stakes. By no means will this be for everybody due to its slow nature, but it’s certainly a unique war film to check out.
