I dug this DVD out of my room purely for the nostalgia, and wow… it still holds up. This was one of the very first LEGO movies I ever saw, and rewatching it reminded me just how solid it really is. This walked so The LEGO Movie could run.
There was something special about this era — before Ninjago, before everything expanded into massive franchises. You can feel the early blueprint here: the world‑building, the adventure, the humor, and the genuine love for LEGO storytelling. Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if this inspired a lot of what came later.
If you’ve seen this, then you already know it was peak. And if you haven’t? Stop whatever you’re doing and go watch it. Essential LEGO cinema.
