my favorite ari aster short film (equal to the strange thing about the johnsons). there's a very odd feeling captured here that I think is what I love about him ; the mix of tension — something moving deep inside of you; strong, fast, restless, illogical, strange, that small think that makes you nervous and on edge — with a very liminal atmosphere, more than just uncanny, but a lifelessness of any form of humanhood, something in constant state of devoid and lack. I love this because it's at the core of this short film, in the visuals, in the speech, in the narration itself. very interesting.
