okay what the fuck. This is not the beautiful Disney movie I was promised. It is totally different from the original, which one it's own isn't something bad, but they kept the bae line, and REMOVED the BEST. We start into the story with her already being powerful and strong, and all she learns is that it's okay to be strong. I was stripped of my favorite "oh my god, it's a girl and not my beautiful Twink" scene.

this is the only thing I genuinely enjoyed. The scenery is good. Not as gorgeous with the cherry blossom trees, fire and snow as the original, but compared to the rest of the movie, this is perfection. In comparison to the original it's........alright ig.

they took the fucking songs. Considered to be one of the best Disney songs and they TOOK IT. not a single song. I am utterly devastated. The songs is what gave the song a little something.

᠃ ᠌acting 📽 casting 𓍢 ::
the cast is okay. I'm surprised they didn't just change their ethnicity as well and made them white tbh. I can't think of anything at the top of my head who could've portrayed them better, I specifically like Mulan, but I'm disappointed with the huns. Acting was ups and downs. The reunion scene at the end was very cute, the sisterly love seemed real, but the death scene of the warrior witch seemed...idk.

mushu, the spirits, the cricket... ALL GONE. They were what gave the movie humor. Did they want to just make a war movie but said "hey, let's make a live action of mulan whilst we're at it" ??? Mulan having to fight for honest friends and them ending up supporting her fully is gone as well. The passion. Nothing. Empty plate. I wish I could throw tomatoes at someone.
