Hitchcock/Truffaut
for once the behind the scenes is just as fascinating as the film because it felt like sitting in one of the greatest film school lesson ever recorded

Makes you want to read the book and watch Hitchcock’s entire filmography.

Got to meet the director of this. Super nice guy. He got us tickets to the Film Forum to see The Apartment. Very awesome experience.

Hvorfor er "Hitchcock/Truffaut" den vigtigste bog om film nogensinde? Det har filmen, der handler om den, ingen ide om. Afstumpet og uambitiøs dokumentar.

As a Hitchcock documentary, this SHOULD have been done so much better. The book is regarded as one of the most important interviews of all time.

BUT as far as the topic material goes, they nailed it at the same time. I loved how they used the audio and clips from Hitchcocks films. I loved all the background info they gave on director Truffaut’s goals, process, and relationship with Hitchcock.

I love listening to some of my favorite directors (Scorsese, Wes, Fincher, Linklater, etc) talk about the book, Hitchcocks films, and how it impacted their careers.

Overall such a good watch.
