I bought Queer by Luca Guadagnino on DVD today it was actually a year ago I saw the film and was blown away but just before I saw the film I read the Book Queer by William S Burroughs where I was still questioning my sexuality it was a pivotal book for me. There’s no questioning he’s a bad man who did something irreversible but there’s something so interesting about his work as an author we likely wouldn’t have punk music as we know it if it wasn’t for Burroughs. he was a rebellious figure in media because he wrote about controversial and shocking things at a time where your career would be at stake and to this day I’m still grateful I was able to check out his book, anyway rented this documentary to check out such an uncompromising and morally bankrupt man.
