Can’t believe I had never heard of this movie until 111 minutes ago. It’s a crime that American Woman is the hidden gem that it is.

I love unconventional coming of age movies, and I loved the uniqueness and depth that American Woman brought to the genre. I had never seen Sienna Miller in anything before, and I was blown away with her performance. Everything relied on her delivering on this complex role, and I think she crushed it.

While there are moments where I feel like this moves too slow and too fast at the same time, all in all this is a very well made and thoughtful drama that was given lots of care by all involved. American Woman is more than deserving of conversation and recommendation.

this being another cable tv movie to watch before i slept, i wasnt expecting as much as this movie delivers, it’s so beautiful in some parts, sure its name isnt the most appealing and there are so flaws in the movie, i didnt expect to be moved by a movie with this title
