Tudo o que eu preciso é de UMA única mudança de formato na fotografia, e eu perdi a conta de quantas vezes esse filme fez isso. Mais de 20 vezes fácil.

Infelizmente o filme se perde da história linda do início e se transforma em um thriller desengonçado. Podia muito bem continuar na pegada de “adaptação” dos Beatles, gosto muito disso.

okay good, for a moment there i was worried this would never end. it has a pretty solid cast and the visuals are nice at times, but yikes. it’s way too long, natalie portman does a rough holly hunter impression, and i’m not a fan of the aspect ratio changes. i thought people were exaggerating but they’re obnoxiously overused here. when that slowed down version of lucy in the sky with diamonds started playing, hahaha come on. i am really rooting for zazie beetz to be in better movies

Del genio dietro a quei capolavori televisivi di Fargo e Legion non c’è traccia, solo un goffo tentativo di unire First Man e un qualsiasi dramma che tratti l’adulterio. Il film è totalmente privo di focus, le soluzioni visive che tentano di esternare il disagio della protagonista sono ripetitive e stancanti, la stessa Natalie Portman sembra che stia facendo un’imitazione del Saturday Night Live giocata in chiave serissima, la filosofia spicciola sulla vastità cosmica che annulla la percezione di realtà dell’essere umano è così didascalica e infantile da risultare risibile, così come tutte le situazioni del terzo atto. Amarissima delusione.
