I just remembered that I've added this short film a while ago to my Watchlist, so I basically had the same reaction of "wait, this kid in the Sonic costume is from an actual short film??" all over again lmao
I didn't go into this thinking it's a meme movie, but I was still surprised at how deep and serious it was. I'm worried this will sound like one of those posts from r/superseriousfamilyguy lol, but there is that deep sadness of growing up that I think everyone can relate to. Although we don't see much of the Eggman counterpart, so we're not entirely sure what brought him into such a depressive state, but it goes to show the misery of losing your sense of wonder in a very bleak world.
The film did almost entirely well with no dialogue. It really did portray Sonic's motto: "no matter how fast I run, I cannot run away from this pain"
