I don’t know if it’s been done before, but it genuinely felt like the first time I saw a character reshape the personality of the actor playing them. while I didn’t like this enough to ever watch it again, it has something and I keep thinking it would pair nicely with May December or Red Rooms. so maybe I’ll have to rewatch it as a double feature with one of those sometime!
