i had fun watching this, but honestly m in my opinion, it’s not the most thrilling Pokémon movie out there. i really liked the history of Lucario and Sir Aaron, seeing Lucario struggle with loyalty and understanding what happened is actually really heartwarming, and the moments between Ash and Pikachu are too, their bond really carries a lot of the emotional weight of the film. just that some parts of this movie drag tho, most of the conflict is around the magical Tree, and there isn’t a real villain you know? just challenges the characters have to get through. the Tree of Beginning just causes problems until everyone proves themselves… not my most favorite Pokémon movie but still a good and emotional storyline!
