I don't remember liking A Mermaid Tale when I was a kid, and all I can say is that little me was out of my mind because this shit rocks. Merliah is a great protagonist and the plot unfolds in a really interesting way. As with most Barbie films, the animal sidekicks are annoying and kinda unnecessary, but it is what it is, I guess. Eris is an awesome antagonist, and contrasts well with her sister; she had a lot of personality and flair, a little like Ursula, and I hope she's in the sequel as well. A fantastic film, overall, and one I understand being a lot of people's favourite of the Barbie universe.
