The first half is a lot of distractions and red herrings, including Brendan Gleeson’s entire character who doesn’t need to be there. It’s a mess frankly.
When it gets to what it’s supposed to be: a ‘serial killer is set loose on a 747’ movie, it’s still bad, but a bad that’s a little bit more focused. Too many implausibilities and terrible performances to get lost in the B-movie action fantasy though. Ray Liotta has no theory of who his character is. Lauren Holly is straight up, no good.
Again I’m watching a movie that doesn’t know that Airplane! exists and that you can’t play the idea of a pilot teaching an amateur how to fly a plane over the radio as they crash into buildings with any seriousness.
P.S. one of the flight attendants in this movie is played by the “I smoked pot” lady from that one clip on social media.
