44/100
I watched THE VIOLATORS with the impression it would be a coming-of-age tale about two girls from different social spheres (which is what the advertising campaign led me to believe). However, the film is significantly different to that. I won't delve too much into the plot of the film, but I felt it lacked quite a lot.
Many people are commenting on the film's third-act, specifically in terms of its weakness. Personally I found this part of the film to be the most compelling. Although it digresses away from the first two thirds of the film, I found it to be gripping.
THE VIOLATORS had so much potential (Brogan Ellis is a very talented actress that was under utilised), yet failed to deliver completely.
