❝I'm not being sent away again. If you don't stop, I'll show you where I put your father.❞

The original short film used to freak me out so bad, and though its successor isn’t nearly as good, and has many inadequacies, I still enjoyed watching Lights Out. A couple of the jumpscares did get me, and the flashbacks are well-constructed. However, as a character Sophie is pretty useless and only serves as a historian with information about her and Diana's childhoods. The ending is super rushed and unsatisfying too, but Diana herself has a cool, creepy character design which helps to distract one from the plot. Kinda average overall; I don't know if I'd rewatch Lights Out in the future.
