This film was not what I expected at all, especially after reading other reviews. I expected romcom and I got… well. I’m not sure what I would call it.
There are tons of issues with it, I will agree with that. The direction, score (what’s with the Humpty Dumpty music whenever Farmer and Russell get together?), and editing. The film alternates between rushed and too slow.
On the other hand, there’s something that feels so experimental about this. It’s laugh out loud funny at times. I do think it was a miss with the lead actress, but then again that could be a direction issue. I really want to read the script to see how it was translated in the end.
Overall, I did not feel like I wasted my time watching this.
