i don’t even know how to rate it. it is unusual, it is rude and it is sad. i felt very bad for the girl and the son, poor things. and the scene with the food was the worst for me

“You’re all sick in the head!”Life can be disgusting and lonely and so is this movie. Repulsive at times, but I think the subject Moodyson is exploring is quite interesting. The presentation while filled with some nauseating sequences and vile imagery is still quite intriguing and the characters are nuanced to some extent. The cinematography was captivating and one of the highlights of the film as well.
Overall, Moodyson’s filmography seems to be very diverse and I appreciate that. This film is weird, ugly and creepy but also well crafted and strangely hypnotic. Recommended.
