Decided to rewatch Andy Muchietti’s It after FINALLY finishing his new series It: Welcome to Derry. I highly recommend the show because it is incredible, and makes watching this film again so much better. So many new things I could connect while rewatching this film, with the backstory of the creepy Mrs. Kersh, knowing the parents of the children, and now understanding why the show is going back in time (Pennywise perceives time differently and knows what the future holds). It’s masterfully written and directed by the Muschietti’s, and while this film is no masterpiece, it’s definitely the best interpretation we’ll ever get from King’s novel.
