Im sorry but this was amazing. A study on relationships, sex, religion, the mentally insane, and it's also kind of about nothing. A meaningless spectacle of conversation? Would that be so bad?
I love the cinematography and I love the video quality. Something about it is so real, so uncompromising, that I find high-definition video or film can rarely hold a torch to it.
Bob Odenkirk directed this very well and its style is subtle, but very apparent. And Flo from Progressive gives a jaw-dropping performance. Not classically "good" (save for a dramatic scene where she is actually quite good) but completely arresting. Flo was fucking hilarious. She's on a different wavelength than this movie but thats by design. If visualized, her wavelength would be part of this films canvas. She was so psychotic and deeply human and weird as shit. Same goes for the rest of the characters as well. I found myself hating and loving everyone at the table. They're all technically kind of bad people, but regardless of that fact their conversation was fun, cleverly layered, and very important.

The worst people you know somehow managed to have dinner together. May god have mercy on the soul of every other patron and worker unlucky enough to share their space for the evening.
I’m sorry but I just could not get into a movie about four shitbags talking nonstop. The general tone of the conversation throughout the entire movie is annoying as hell. Everyone’s a smartass trying too hard to say the edgiest thing.
And as if that wasn’t irritating enough, what’s up with the camerawork here? This thing lacks quality across the board.
