How does a 67 minute film feel like 2 hours? I don’t think it’s a bad film by any means, but it drags and goes nowhere. When I watched Scrooge (1951), I thought that they did a great job when it came to extending the runtime of a simple story like A Christmas Carol, but I feel as if Christmas in July is the exact opposite. I like the idea but they didn’t do the best job at making the most of its 67 minute runtime.
