This movie is very derivative of the first one, but it's hard not to have fun watching multiple predators hunt a group of uniquely badass soldiers. I think my enjoyment also comes largely from nostalgia, since this is a movie I rewatched over and over as a kid.

Predators is honestly a pretty solid entry in the franchise, and in my opinion overhated. The CGI is good not amazing, but definitely serviceable. It gets the job done without taking you out of the movie, even if a few moments feel a little dated. Where the movie really shines, though, is the gore. The kills are brutal, creative, and exactly what you want from a Predator movie. One of the biggest issues is the amount of people in this movie. There are just too many characters, and because of that, a lot of them are forgettable. There are also some noticeable plot holes and one of the worst plot twists in movie history but I won’t speak on that to avoid spoiler. The biggest problem, though, is how easy the Predators are to kill. These are supposed to be elite hunters especially the Super Predators but they go down way too easily. It kind of undercuts the tension. This has been an issue across the franchise, but it stands out more here because the movie builds them up as even more dangerous because they are Super Predators.
