It was a little shocked for me, because I watched it thinking it was going to be a typical coming of age story, and for the first hour of the film it was indeed like that, but the plot twist at the end was insane. I am definitely very interested in the theme of socialization problems and how one becomes blind to the world because of them, which is raised by "cracks". i can understand the frequent comparisons of this movie to "dead poets society" because of the visuals and the idea of a closed school where students change by adopting the ideas of their teacher.> but I think it is in terms of plot that it reminds me most of "the virgin suicides", because it also develops the theme of how the perception of reality is distorted in people who are closed off from the outside world and don't know anything about it, when they learn something for themselves that goes beyond their narrow horizons.what would have happened if Fiamma not arrived? the girls would have continued to live a lie and believe Miss G meaningless stories about her life outside the boarding school, which she doesn't really know, because she has spent her whole life inside these walls just like them. she is used to living the illusions and fantasies that she indoctrinates herself by telling others. and when she has to accept reality, cracks appear in her life.> throughout the entire film, we can notice how the girls ostentatiously display hatred and anger towards Fiamma, firstly they feel envy towards her, just like Miss G. before her, they did not think that there was life beyond the walls of these schools. before her, they did not think about travel, friendship, and love. and the film shows that people will not begin to demand freedom and achieve it until they know for themselves what it is. a person can live happily in any conditions until he learns that there are better conditions. another theme that the film brings up is herd instinct. Di saw the terrible thing that happened to Fiamma, but still turned a blind eye to it and continued to protect the teacher. simply because she is an example for her. and many mocked Fiamma precisely because of Di, who did not love her, but in fact they themselves did not understand why they were doing this to her. I also thought it was visually stunning, so autumnal. each of Eva Green's looks is amazing.

nothing beside remains. Round the decay, of that colossal wreck … the lone and level sands stretch far away
