Yo, I lowkey vibed with Atragon. The whole plot with the Mu Empire is fire and gave me major retro sci-fi vibes, i rly enjoy 60s toho projects.
Manda is such a cracked design and legit an underrated kaiju that deserves way more hype. Overall it was aight for a one-time watch mainly just to see the giant snake do its thing and check out the Mu lore.

Most of the movies I rate real low are because they’re boring. This just kept going I watched this on tubi and when the first ad break happened I was like “oh boy we’re really just blitzing through this one!” Only to find out after the ad break that no actually it had been 15 minutes and there was still about an hour Twenty left in the movie. From that point on it became a slog. Characters I didn’t really care about, a monster that literally shows up and dies the second it’s out, an advanced species that lives underwater that has the power to sink entire cities somehow still uses just sticks and spears to poke people with in close quarters combat. Just a slog, I guess it’s important to the framer Godzilla sphere because it introduces Mundra the sea serpent thing but bruther he’s disposed of as quickly as he’s shown off. This was just bleh, not as insulting as the English version of Varan but pretty rough.

Now this was some fun. An underwater civilization they are going to fuck with the surface. It was pretty entertaining with fun sets. They got some wacky ass costumes in this one. The wiggly little dragon at the end was too good
