Still above average compared to some of the films Seagal would produce later, but Under Siege 2 just isn’t as exciting or interesting as the first film. Admittedly I wanna see Seagal be more of the good intent-ed yet slightly out of his depth family figure like he is just briefly with Katherine Heigl very early on and we get almost none of that after that one scene. I think it really helps the character, but Seagal has very little interest in that sort of thing.

“Destined to become a cult hit by 2025.” -Eric Bogosian, 1995
I don’t know about all that but Eric was in his element as a villain for sure. Ruined by the fact that Steven Seagal is in it.
