Second watch, and this was just okay for me. I felt that it leans way too much on jump scares and loses what made the original work so well, by actually showing the creature instead of letting your imagination do the work. The whole thing with the sun not appearing anymore felt strange, and then the bright light at the end comes out of nowhere with no real explanation. The giant distorted (witch?) figure idea is interesting, but it ends up feeling more confusing than scary.
