This is so criminally underwritten i wanna cry
whoever wrote the story should go touch grass. Characters are telling me what they should be showing me. Hence, they strip these characters (who should be in love and passion and in controversial relationship) of any ounce of chemistry
and because of that I don’t fucking believe them
+ how could it be that in original story the plot was heavily driven by class stratification and in here they are, once more, telling me about it like maybe in 5 sentences throughout the movie and that’s it?
it should be radical and real instead it’s safe and boring and ,because one of the main topics of the story is lost in favour to badly written romance, very ragged
about very few good things
1) Clifford’s character was the best in the story, greatly delivered by James Norton with what he had
2) visuals were great, movie is beautifully shot and actors are also beautiful, but the movie leans on these great visuals too heavily
pretty picture doesn’t matter if i don’t wanna listen to the story u wanna tell
