After watching another version of the Tempest at the globe, I can say that the venue itself is cleverly presented as much bigger here than it really is in person. I love how this adaptation really leans into the comedy elements, making the content much more digestible for a modern audience. As with many Shakespeare theatre productions, the limited setting and alienating language become tedious over the runtime. However, it brings originality where due without diverting from the rigid source material. The performances bring so much to this.
