Junun is gorgeous and elegant and made me kind of emotional. It made me really miss India, even though I've never been to the north. But most of all, it reminded me of the power of music; its ability to bring people of all cultures together to create something beautiful. Every single musician and singer in Junun was so talented, and Paul Thomas Anderson captured the harmony between them in a way that felt cozy and familiar. Such a lovely watch that I'll be revisiting.

There's something about watching/listening to musicians work and be so immersed in their element, creating such enchanting music. Not only is the power and presence of the music on its own great here, but pairing it with some breathtaking architecture doesn't hurt either. It's this kind of effortless documentation of ensemble that makes me want to go back to a concert or jazz band environment again. Really centering with this one.
