Out of any Halloween movie I’ve seen, The Midnight Hour captures the essence of Halloween the best. There’s the pure sense of nostalgia coming from this film, the childhood feeling of going out for Halloween. It might be the charm of it being a TV movie that gives me the vibe. But as a TV movie, this is a pretty good film.
This blends in with elements from The Monster Squad and Hocus Pocus but it’s for teenagers. A ridiculously safe and fun monster movie that doesn’t fail in giving content for the season. I wish there were more scares and shocking content but that random musical session was making up for it.
