An Elon Mask jump-scare that worked incredibly well, better than most modern horror scares. Why Him? is a good twenty minutes too long and Franco's over-the-top character got tiresome pretty fast, but the first half was pretty funny and Zoey Deutch's raw charisma is effectively an emergency service for any film she's in at this point. It’s a painfully familiar knockoff of many other, mostly better comedies, but Bryan Cranston smacking James Franco with an iPad is a delightful sight and, honestly, I had more fun with this than I thought I would. It's nothing special that you haven't seen before, but for what it is, it’s a heartfelt little raunchy comedy that put a smile on my face from start to finish.
“Stay out of my territory” or, if you may: I am not in danger, Skyler. I am the danger. A guy opens his door and gets shot, and you think that of me? No. I am the one who knocks!
