fever dream doesn’t even begin to describe it. i love movies that feel like stage plays and this is one of them !!! everyone delivers their lines in such a bizarre way you almost feel hypnotized. i am endlessly enamored with the way dr. caligari speaks in particular especially the way she says van houten. obsessed. she’s so sexy i would let her conduct human experiments on me any time

so gross, stupid, and campy. The actors ate this up!! some of the line readings are so amazing im surprised i dont see them all over the internet. I loved the voguing doctors trying to take down caligari. The whole movie felt like an even more perverted beetlejuice. I had a lot more fun than i thought and I have a need to show everyone i know just to get their reactions hehe
