I absolutely adore the painting, so I liked seeing an interpretation of how it came to be through the perspective of the girl. I didn't actually look at the cast before watching so I got jumpscared by Colin Firth, Cillian Murphy and Tom Wilkinson, all in diabolical wigs (especially Cillian). The plot was a little slow and really started dragging around halfway, but all in all this was a decent film.
