There were so many ways for Christina Ricci's character to easily figure out whether she was being tricked to or not and just the overall concept of the story was full of logical flaws as it didn't made a lot of sense of how he realistically would convince his victims to believe him, etc. Though I must say, I love the eerie gothic aesthetic of the movie and a lot of the scenes weirdly gave me relaxing asmr vibes for some reason. Logically this film is a complete mess with no believable moments whatsoever but it's got that cheesy 2000s horror charm to it that I'm a little fond of.
