It's pretty interesting watching old documentaries about weed, as the public landscape surrounding Marijuana has changed significantly since the films release. But it's a pretty great documentary either way. It's really puts into perspective just how ridiculous Marijuana prohibition was.
This documentary isn't just a preach to the choir documentary about how great weed is. It's actually very informative, and teaches a lot about the history of Marijuana legality. There are plenty of interviews, full of witty and fun speakers that are very clearly passionate and well rounded on what they're talking about. The clips and footages used are all edited together in a quick and smooth pace that evenly distributes each person's point into individual sections that delve into illegal markets, grow-ops, Marc Emery, and the function of Canabis outside of recreational use.
I think it’s best to watch this movie without expecting it to be anything more than a documentary that supports marijuana, especially if you're expecting something that either propagandizes Marijuana or blindly worships it.
Personally as a nonsmoker I found this to be incredibly entertaining and informative, and regardless of it you agree with the premise or not, I implore you to check it out at least once.
