A thing about older horror i always love is the haziness of each shot the vibrancy of the colour - while overall an experience that was just okay it was nice to take a breath of something saturated and pre 2000.

however, i pretty much immediately called it would be the brother or the father who killed them. so the ending turned out pretty predictable and obviously the writing was nothing spectacular but the visuals were so so fantastic at times.

this just sucks an enormous amount of ass. i can’t name one good thing about it and i’m not even gonna lie, i was on my phone for more than half of the runtime. even the casting choices suck, like you’re telling me in 1974 they’re all like ten and in 1980 they magically look thirty?? the killer is just a primitive ghostface with his little phone calls but at least ghostface did some serious killing and didn't make us wait one fucking hour to see him do so. i also fucking hated the kids in the opening scene i’m sorry. i usually love slashers but this one just makes you feel sorry for the poor souls that voluntarily bought tickets to see this in ‘80

i was surprised how low quality this whole thing was considering it was only made in 1980 (probably just didn’t have a high budget)…anyways, overall just a really mid movie. there was nothing crazy special or remarkable about it but that’s kind of what i expected going into this
