Here it is, my 500th watched movie. For this occasion I've decided to watch something from my country and since I had this as a set book not that long ago (and like Małgorzata Braunek) I picked Potop.
As a set book, it was hella boring but, as it always is, I do something for my pleasure, it gets better. I'm not really familar in Sienkiewicz work, not including Quo Vadis and now Potop, but I hated Quo Vadis so I had the same feelings towards Potop, till I watched this movie.
"Nie nazywam się Babinicz. Nazywam się Kmicic."
That line was so so good, like cold. You know. I truly enjoyed it and didn't feel like it was 3 hours. I watched it for the plot of course, which was Oleńka played by Małgorzata Braunek. And of course for Kmicic's eyelashes.
I will definitely watch more Hoffman's movies, I hope they will be as good as this one.
