When am I gonna make up my fucking mind about Rebirth? I've resisted Mueller's obvious attempts at manipulating the audience to see the stencils of meaning and poignancy. I see how fucking flawed it is and how, honestly, bad the ending is. But Rebirth is a fucking experience, man.
Rebirth will have me thinking for hours upon hours in circles. It plays out just like a dream, in fact a lucid dream. Kyle (Fran Kranz) has total control. Open this door, and another, and another. Push it too far though, here's sleep paralysis! Shit's about to get really unsettling really fast! I don't know what fucking genre Rebirth is.

It's an experience. It's exactly like the actual Rebirth program featured in the movie. It changes you. You're not sure how the fuck and why the fuck but it does. And this, upon a second viewing was much more clearly intentional. I wasn't sure the first time if it was intentional or not, but I'm pretty sure it is now.
There are times where I love Rebirth and there are times where I hate it, and I'm sure that after a third viewing, this could go back down to a 2 and a half or even lower, or even higher than this shocking 4 star rating.
