Could’ve been great, the monkey attacks are nice and gooey. But man it does not justify having that long of a runtime! At least 20 minutes of fat could have been trimmed, especially the ending where our final guy is basically walking around so catatonic like a zombie.

Hadde lyst å se noe absurd og det fikk jeg virkelig. En ape som dreper. Veldig gøy!

This is one of those movies that has positive qualities the creators probably weren’t even going for, because it’s a B movie, but it uses an actual baboon. That’s what makes it actually a little scary at times. Oh, and also, whoever did the blood and gore effects did amazing.

i wanted to like it.. but it was about 20 minutes too long and there were too many scenes dragged out.

the whole humans vs nature thing is to me a little boring/overdone, while it’s fun seeing a baboon kill loads of people it just wasn’t the most interesting of ideas, the baboon is easily the best part of this film, his character is intense, aggressive and somewhat comedic. it’s unintentionally comedic - with its low production value, as medical students playing dungeons & dragons get stuck with a crazed baboon. the setting is claustrophobic and it’s kinda unique. the reason this isn’t higher is that why is this film 101 minutes!! yeah no. with its plot really lacking substance, boring/irrelevant/annoying characters, it’s lame offscreen kills and a just general lack of suspense or direction. too much doorknobs, not enough monkey. it’s music is something really saving this - but it’s just not the best.
