Hooptober12, Movie #14
Just a fun movie. Reminded me of the opening to Ratatouille with the old lady.
They should’ve become friends
Monologuing to a rat is crazy. But also very funny

Part of an impromptu challenge that Neal, Nathan, and I put together. **See You Next Wednesday Challenge** - A Horror film based around an animal
A yuppie gets pulled deeper and deeper by a goddamn rat into the most degenerate and hopeless version of himself. Achieving an obviously Ahab-ian relationship with a rat, Peter Weller creates a persona based on defeating the root of all of his filthy and unsavory problems.
I've personally felt the same way Peter Weller's Bart. I've yelled and gone on tirades against things that I can't see or a thing that doesn't understand, all in the name of stress. Shout at the heavens and do ridiculous things to achieve success. Of Unknown Origin resonated with me in ways I did not predict. Maybe I won't feel the same way next time I watch the movie where Peter Weller is driven insane by a rat inside his walls, but I sure as hell will remember this time I watched it.
