Completely and entirely ahead of its time, easily could’ve been made in the 80s, but wouldn’t have been as good if it was, also Dustin Hoffman was just incredible in this. Ended up being a pretty much perfect film and quite honestly one of the best films I’ve seen. The overhead shot of the trees and hills when Ben’s driving to Berkeley is one of the most beautiful shots I’ve seen in a movie. Overall just very, very well made and performed all around, Simon and Garfunkel doing the soundtrack just made it even better. I haven’t liked a movie this much in a long time, will definitely be on my four favorites for the foreseeable future.
