All I want is destruction and shit blowing up and that’s basically the entirety of this movie. I can’t say it’s good though because it is so flawed in the character and military and story direction that they took. Lemme explain. The characters only feel like they are there to push the narrative along, in the beginning they kind of started a little bit of character development on the main guy with his son dying to Godzilla and him wanting revenge but tossed it aside and kind of briefly mention it as almost like a joke. It was such a wasted opportunity to do more. Another character that pisses me off is the doctor chick, she’s good then bad then good, literally killed thousands of people and cost billions of shmeckles in damages and we are supposed to be like yeah, all is forgiven because she sacrificed herself, trash. Also, also the colonel bald army chick does literally everything, she’s a pilot, a grunt, a command element, a logistics officer, like what the fuck bro. The movie almost feels like the humans are just following around the monsters like lost puppies, they add nothing really, they are just there to die and maybe mildly help a bit, excluding the Asian guys big sacrifice, he gets a pass. All in all, you’re really just watching this movie for the dope ass fight scenes and some really cool slow mo shots, if it wasn’t like 75% fighting, this movie would’ve been a dud.

and wtf did they do to Dr. Serizawa?? They literally took his OG character and LAUGHED in his face. In 1954, Serizawa was struggling with his soul cause he was terrified that using the Oxygen Destroyer would just start another cycle of destruction. He sacrificed himself so that the knowledge of such a deadly weapon would die with him. Now cut to KOTM, and this version of Serizawa uses a nuke to make Godzilla STRONGER? They made it so backwards that they’re telling us a NUKE saved nature. BROTHER.

But what triggers me the most is how they turned Godzilla into this "good guy" who just wants to "maintain the balance." MAINTAIN THE BALANCE? GODZILLA? Lets be fr rn🫨Godzilla was literally born from the trauma of nuclear radiation, he’s the personification of the unspeakable pain and destruction caused by atomic war. But I guess American filmmakers just wanted to distance themselves politically from his nuclear origins (since they were the ones who dropped the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki btw). They turned a tragic, terrifying symbol of human mistake into a big friendly lizard that fixes the ecosystem. Wow…just wow.😐👏

And then we have Emma… she’s so dumb, dawg I can't. How much time has passed since they were almost killed and she released Ghidorah? A day? Maybe a couple? But no, she made a WHOLE PRESENTATION to justify why she needed to set all the Titans free and let them fucking destroy the cities (and she’s saying they’re NOT killing people, which is fking dumb btw) just so the planet could regenerate.

Bruh, according to her, she basically wants to live like a Stone Age person, walking through cities overgrown with trees alongside TITANS (again, she really thinks they WON’T kill anyone?). I can't with this woman, honestly. She’s completely lost her mind after her son was literally…wait a minute… killed by TITANS?? Like, hello?? Fucking brilliant logic.

The story is a bit lacking to say the least. The cast does a somewhat decent job, but this isn’t where the movie stands out. Now after not getting as much Godzilla in the first, we get double in this one. The action is so good, king ghidora, Rodman, mothra. The monsters are so good and make the movie what it is which is damn good.
